Season changes

We wanted to clarify what the season function is used for. First, there are two types of seasons - league and network. A league season allows you to essentially wipe your slate clear for a new season of the same league - say you run an annual football league and it’s time for a new season. You have the option of keeping the teams and/or rosters or clearing everything. This way, you can come back and view all of the past seasons of a particular league in the future.

A network season is a little more complicated, but similar to a league season. It allows you to clear all the leagues in your network without deleting them. It’s good to use this between semesters or perhaps once over the summer to get ready for the new year. All the data that is cleared is stored and can be accessed later. However, it’s not wise to move back to a previous season after it’s been switched, as teams and leagues that have been created since will not be reflected or visible in the older state of the network. It is easiest to use this simply to clear the slate of leagues between semesters or years.

As always, feel free to contact us for clarification or further questions.
